Overview
The CU Book Store offers hardware maintenance and repair service for Apple computers,both in and out of warranty, as well as out-of-warranty repairs for PCs.
Our maintenance and repair services are available to students, staff, and faculty of the University, as well as to the general public.
Please feel free to bring your computer in any time during CU Book Store hours.

Warranty Service
The CU Book Store is a fully authorized warranty service center for Apple computer products.For manufacturers other than Apple, we only offer out-of-warranty service.
We know how important your computer can be, so we strive to provide meticulous service as quickly as possible.
Rates
Repairs covered by an Apple warranty or AppleCare Service Plan are free, however we do offer other services.
The CU Book Store accepts UCB ACARDs, IN's, cash, VISA, MasterCard, Discover, and AMEX for payment.

| Warranty Service Repair service for Apple computers covered by an Apple warranty or AppleCare Protection Plan. Please note, this does not cover accidental damage such as spills or drops. | Free |

Standard Diagnostic / Labor Fee This fee is charged for out-of-warranty repairs when the unit is checked in. It also covers the labor cost of most repair services we perform. Repairs that are covered by an Apple warranty or AppleCare are not charged this fee. |

Rush Repair In a hurry? This fee bumps your repair to the front of the queue during busy periods when we have many repairs lined up. This is available for both warranty and non-warranty repairs. |

| Data Backup / Transfer This only applies to functional hard drives. At this time we do not offer data recovery from defective hard drives. | $66 |

Data Backup / Transfer (bundled) This is an additional service offered if you are having your computer worked on by us or if you are buying an Apple computer from us. This only applies to functional hard drives. At this time we do not offer data recovery from defective hard drives. |

Memory Install We charge reasonable rates for the memory we carry in-store, and charge no install fee for memory purchased from us. There is a $33 fee otherwise. |

Hard Drive Install We charge reasonable rates for the hard drives we carry in-store, and charge only a small $33 fee for installation. This also includes the re-installation of the OS for Mac computers, but not for PCs. It does not cover data transfer from an old hard drive, although we do offer that as a bundled service (see above). |
