Students and Teachers can visit Adobe's Creative Cloud to receive educational pricing or discounts on Adobe software.

For institutional computers, Creative Cloud licensing is available through OIT Software Licensing .

Free Microsoft Office 365

Microsoft Office 365 is a cloud-based suite of solutions that includes Exchange Online as the email and calendaring environment, as well as collaborative office applications such as Office Web Apps, Office desktop applications, SharePoint, and Skype for Business.

Students, Faculty, Staff and Retirees can visit the Office of Information Technology to learn more about accessing Microsoft Office 365 for free.

Students, Faculty, and Staff can also visit the Microsoft Student Store to receive educational pricing or discounts on Microsoft software and hardware.

IBM SPSS Statistics

SPSS licenses are available to CU Faculty, Staff, and Students (all Colorado Springs, Boulder and Denver campuses) on University-owned or personal computers, for teaching and non-commercial academic research only.

The current version, SPSS 25, is available for the 2017-2018 academic year, with each license good through 31 August 2018. A license includes all these modules: Statistics (Base & Advanced), Amos, Regression, Tables, Custom Tables, Categories, Forecasting, Decision Trees, Data Prep, Missing Values, Complex Samples, Conjoint, Exact Tests, Bootstrapping, Neural Networks, and Direct Marketing.

Within two days after you order a license, you will receive instructions from OIT and an authorization code to license SPSS on a single computer. View details and purchase.

SAS Statistical Software

CU Faculty, Staff, and Students (all Colorado Springs, Boulder and Denver campuses) can purchase SAS 9.4 software licenses for the 2017-2018 academic year, good through July 2018.

SAS software is available only for Windows and Linux operating systems, not for Mac OS X. It can be run in a Windows environment in Bootcamp, Parallels, or VMWare Fusion.

The user is sent a licensing file, along with a link for downloading the full SAS installer which includes not only SAS Foundation and Enterprise Guide, but dozens of other SAS products. The user can install all of them or just a portion, as needed.

Within two days after you order a license, you will receive instructions from OIT and a license file which may be used for up to two computers (of which you are the primary user). View details and purchase.

NVivo

Nvivo is a qualitative data analysis (QDA) computer software package produced by QSR International, designed for qualitative researchers working with rich text-based and/or multimedia information. NVivo licenses are available to CU Faculty, Staff, and Students (all Colorado Springs, Boulder and Denver campuses) on University-owned or personal computers, for teaching and non-commercial academic research only.

The current version, NVivo 11, is available for the 2017-2018 academic year, with each license good through 31 August 2018.

IDL and ENVI

IDL and ENVI software licenses are available to CU-Boulder Faculty, Staff, and Students, for teaching and non-commercial academic research only.

IDL is programming software used for data analysis, visualization and cross-platform application development. ENVI is remote-sensing software that provides hyperspectural image analysis, image enhancement and feature extraction, based on the IDL kernel.
