Whether your laptop is in the shop or you need a quick fix for a forgotten deadline, the CU Book Store offers fast, flexible technology rentals to keep you on track. Choose from Apple MacBook Airs, Dell Latitudes, or Chromebooks- perfect for short-term needs, big presentations, unexpected tech hiccups, or when you haven’t quite decided on what computer you’re going to purchase.

We have Macs, PCs, and Chromebooks available for rent at the following prices:

Rental Unit Specifications:

MacBook Air, 13”: Current Mac OS, Apple M4 chip with 10-core CPU and 8-core GPU, 16GB, 256GB SSD. Two Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports, MagSafe 3 port and audio jack.

Dell Latitude 5450, 14”: Windows 11 Pro, Intel Core Ultra 5 135U vPro (12 MB cache, 12 cores, 14 threads, up to 4.4 GHz Turbo), 16GB, 256GB M.2 SSD. Two Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C) ports, two USB-A 3.2 ports, HDMI port, RJ-45 Ethernet jack and audio jack.

Dell Chromebook 3120, 11.6”: Current Chrome OS, Intel N100 (6MB cache, 4 cores, 4 threads, up to 3.40 GHz Turbo, 4.80W), 8GB, 64GB EMMC. Two USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode ports, one USB-A 3.2 port and audio jack.

Our PC and Mac rentals come pre-loaded with Microsoft Office so that you can get to work as quickly as possible. For Chromebooks, the entire Microsoft Office suite can be downloaded from the Google Play store, at no charge, using your IdentiKey credentials. No matter the machine you are the admin of the device and may install whatever software you need to get your work done. Upon return of any rental we reinstall the operating system, completely removing any trace of personally identifiable information or documents left behind on the computer.
