Holiday Shipping Deadlines
- ECONOMY: Monday, December 17th, by NOON
- 2-DAY: Wednesday, December 20th, by NOON
- 1-DAY: Thursday, December 21st, by NOON
- In-Store Pick-Up: Friday, December 22nd, by NOON
The CU Book Store utilizes a flat rate shipping model. You will pay the following shipping amount, per order, based on these selections:
- Same Day In-Store Pick-Up: FREE (with exceptions during back-to-school periods)
- Economy Delivery: $7.95 or FREE for orders of $149 or more
- 2 Day Delivery: $24.95
- 1 Day Delivery: $39.95
Back-to-School In-Store Processing Rates:
- 2-3 Days: FREE
- Next Day*: $6.95
- Same Day (4 hours)**: $14.95
*Orders will be ready for pick up when the store opens the next day, in-stock items only.

Shipment Processing Information
Once you place an order, we will authorize the credit card and verify the shipping address. After these checks are complete, we will process the order according to the service level chosen (see detailed information below). If for any reason the order does not pass the aforementioned checks, we will contact you to correct any necessary information. The CU Book Store reserves the right to hold any order suspected of fraud. All shipping times are based on in-stock items and anything out of stock will take longer to process.
If you have any shipping carrier restrictions or preferences, please contact us after placing your order.
Free shipping does not apply to oversized items, as indicated on those product pages. Shipping does not occur on University holidays - these are not considered business days. Processing time will begin for these orders on the next business day.
Retail Delivery Fee for Colorado Shipments
The State of Colorado has implemented, and the CU Book Store must collect, a $0.27 Retail Delivery Fee for every delivery bound for a Colorado address. Orders for pick-up at the CU Book Store are exempt from the Retail Delivery Fee. This Retail Delivery Fee may appear as a separate line item on your order. Retail Delivery Fees are non-refundable.
CU department purchases and tax-exempt orders are exempt from the Retail Delivery Fee. If your order is tax-exempt, please email firstname.lastname@example.org before placing your order to ensure we do not assess Retail Delivery Fees on your order.
Orders placed Monday-Friday before 1:00 PM will be ready for pick up by 5:00 PM the same day. Orders placed after 1:00 PM will be ready for pick up by 12:00 PM the next business day. Orders placed on Saturday or Sunday by 12:00 PM, when open, will be ready for pick up by 4:00 PM the same day. Orders placed after 12:00 PM will be ready for pick up by 12:00 PM the next business day.
You will receive an email when your order is ready for pick up. Please have the order number ready when coming to the store to pick up your order.
If you do not pick up your order within 30 days of email notification we will issue a refund minus a 25% restocking fee.
Orders will be shipped out in 1-3 business days, and then will take additional time in transit. Please note: Saturday is NOT considered a shipping business day.
2 Day Delivery
Orders placed Monday-Friday before 2:00 PM will be delivered in 2 business days. Orders placed after 1:00 PM will be delivered in 3 business days.
Please note: Saturday is NOT considered a shipping business day. Orders placed anytime on Saturday or Sunday will be delivered on Wednesday. Two-day delivery is NOT guaranteed for PO boxes. Please use a valid street address to ensure two-day delivery.
1 Day Delivery
Orders placed Monday-Friday before 1:00 PM will be delivered the next business day. Orders placed after 1:00 PM will be delivered in 2 business days.
Please note: Saturday is NOT considered a shipping business day. Orders placed anytime on Saturday or Sunday will be delivered on Tuesday. One-day delivery is NOT guaranteed for PO boxes. Please use a valid street address to ensure one-day delivery.
All pre-orders will begin processing 2-3 weeks prior the start of each term. If a pre-order is placed prior to this processing window, the order will be held and will automatically be fulfilled, in the order received, once orders begin being processing for the semester. You will receive an email once processing begins and the order will be shipped via the method chosen during check-out.
Refunds on Shipping Charges
If you received incorrect merchandise, or if you received a damaged product, we will refund shipping charges to your credit card. For shipping charge refunds without a receipt, you must provide the original order number.
Heavy or Oversize Items
Shipping rates and delivery times vary for some products. Items requiring special shipping are noted as such within their individual descriptions.
